I haven't been following this thread so apologies if this has
already been said:<br>

Linux <u>is</u> affected by viruses. If you have heard that isn't
true, you aren't getting good information. If you need proof, Google
"viruses targeting linux" and you can answer your own question.<br>
<br>
No operating system is immune. They all have vulnerabilities.
Windows has far more numerous installations than any other OS and
the most tempting targets operate under Windows. So most exploits
are targeted towards Windows.<br>
<br>
In addition, browsers, program scripts, virtually any program can
provide an entry point for malware.<br>
