<html> <head> <style></style></head> <body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'> Hi Everyone, I think becoming an RPT and continually growing in that title is a great idea.  Joinng the PTG is a great idea.  Networkng with other techs, befriending other techs,honing ones skills, and having a sense of accountability is so key.  I like the idea of "not floundering around on my own out there.."  I don't want to be a " a complete unknown like a rolling stone."  I like the idea of becoming a part of something, but that's just me.  I don't think that if one doesn't hold that title that he/she wil work on old junky pianos for the duration of their career. lol  I'm an associate member and I've tuned some great pianos in my short career. I have also tuned some pretty scarey ones too.  So that's my take on it.  It's not just the title, but acquiring it and growing in it. Just like I have a title as a hsuband and father. I still need to grow in that role.  Sure one can hone their skills without joining the PTG or becoming an RPT, but what's wrong with becoming a part of a great organization and teaming up with others and having a great time too?   I have RPT on my mind and I'm working on a game plan.  I just need to figure out how to get the ball rolling.  For me making the connectons and getting with somone or a place where I can practice and hone the skills needed for the test is my number one obstacle to overcome, and I will.  Marshall Marshall Gisondi MARSHALL'S PIANO SERVICE 215-510-9400 <a href="http://www.phillytuner.com" target="_blank">http://www.phillytuner.com</a> </div></body> </html>
