I still use the C temp. I always wondered what you called =
the
method I use.
I use that method, but a couple of my tuner friends =

me that it is
out dated and the A temp is better. I am =
worried that
if I try to learn it
now, it will hinder my current tuning =
skills.
What do you think?
----- Original Message -----
From: =

I think it's good to know 2 or 3 or more temperaments, to get a =
good idea
of what setting a temperament is, and not to get in a rut by using the =
same
pattern all the time. You should get good at the one you learned =
how to
tune with, but then learn a couple others and try them out. It =
can only
help your tuning skills, once you get comfortable with the "new"
temperaments. I believe what's commonly called an "A =
temperament" is
really an F to F temperament. A4 is the first note set from the =
fork,
but then the actual octave used for the temperament is F3 To =
F4.
