I did have a tuning client there: the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel, which was located directly between and at the base of the Twin Towers. I would tune pianos for them every 2 or 3 months. I can only pray that the people who used to schedule the tuning appointments with me have survived. They were only young workers in their first "real" job.</BLOCKQUOTE> For most of us, the people killed have been nameless and faceless. But when we hear stories like this, the faces and names become real, and the full impact of the tragedy hits home. If pains me terribly to think about the one or two persons who used to call you and schedule the appointment. Even though I don't know that person, it reminds me of the person at a hotel in St. Louis who called me to schedule the appointment. It makes the horrific event even more so.
