<BR>I rebuilt a B once and forgot to put the wedge back in. I hadn't realized I forgot to put it in and for two years the piano would never stay in tune. When I did notice it, I released the tension on the piano, and put in a wedge made of pin block material. The piano was fine after that. I checked the wedge for several more years, and did not see it compress any more than the initial crush.
