<DIV>I have the foredom. Had it for years. The belt,
reversible motor, speed control and all. Haven't used it =
much.
The problem is that the belt slips off when reversing. That =
is
guaranteed by the design. A belt will slip to the low side =
of a
pulley and ride to the high side when turning. The pulleys =
need to
be crowned. Even a six inch belt sander is crowned in the =
center of
the roller. I was going to modify mine but I now use the =
turkey
slicer. I've learned how to use that effectively. By =
handling
the body I can favor either side or the strike point. The =
body needs
to be rotated and pushed side to side to clear the fuzz or it =
loads the
paper and clogs. I do use the paddle for finishing and more =
so in
the treble. Works for me.</DIV>
