After some minor hammer filing, some l= ight shoulder needling, along with fitting the hammers to the string, the so= und on both of these instruments is enough to make me cry. The top 1 1/2 oct= aves did need a little juice in the lower shoulders, but that was it.</DIV> <DIV>The one Steinway was an O which had a new board, Arledge bass strings, = and new action.</DIV> <DIV>The other was a 85 note Steinway A with original strings and board, wit= h a new action.</DIV> <DIV>It's an amazing marvel to have that quality of sound without any hint o= f surface hammer noise adding to the mix.
