<DIV>Or, you can go one step further and increase your security =
1,000-fold.
Backup daily to an internet backup service. No MS Explorer, no floppy =
disks,
no tapes, no clicking all over the place. I don't bother at all =
with the
PTBiz backup "feature". I simply have designated a couple-hundred megs =
of data
(includes all PTBiz files) that I back up daily. Two clicks and it =
usually
takes only 2 to 5 minutes for the backup to run. This way you are =
protected
from computer malfunction, theft, fire, flood, hurricane, tornado, =
most acts
of war, etc. Just make sure your backup service is in another state. I =
back up
to somewhere in an underground bunker outside of Pittsburg - they =
claim it
will survive a nuclear attack (former military facility)!</DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Tom,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>I'll add to what Greg wrote about the backing up =
of PTBiz
files. I too was a bit confused on procedure. Actually you can thank =
(smirk...) the author for not completing the necessary program =
keystrokes
for making this a one keystroke procedure.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>After it asks you whether you want to or not =
make a
backup, if you say yes, it will prompt to another screen saying that =
the
backup has been completed. However it really isn't.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>From that point you have to go to Windows =
Explorer (
shortcut...press the Microsoft icon key on your keyboard along with =
the E
key).</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>In Windows Explorer hit the C: icon, and the =
+next to it.
Then scroll down to Program Files. Again hit the + icon next to =
Program
Files, then scroll down to the PTBiz file. Click on PTBiz then on =
the right
side of the screen you'll see the date in which you last backed up, =
along
with a 7-8 digit number. That's your backup.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Now you have to copy that file ( top of page in =
Edit),
then go to the File column (far left) and go to SEND TO. Press SEND =
TO and
determine which drive you want to save the backup in. My A drive is =
the
floppy drive, so I send it to a: drive. You'll then see it the =
information
being transferred over to the disk drive. Done.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Again, make sure you take the time to THANK =
(@#?$) the
author for this programming shortcoming. He wonders why more of his =
programs
never sold. Well, it's for reasons like this that makes the program
laborious to use.</FONT></DIV>
