<DIV><FONT size=2>I've found that using a 6 dollar shaft from Shaff =
number
16R. Then using a very hard super ball and epoxying it onto a 1/4 =
inch x 2
inch long brass nipple available at the plumbing store. (Drill a =
suitable hole
in it with a hole saw or a sharpened steel tube.). Then use =
a 1/8
x1/4 reducer and attach to the end of the shaft. I found that =
some
heads would bottom out or not fit properly. There must be a =
conflict
between brands that are threaded either too much or too little. So =
I cut
off about 1/4 inch of the shaft and chased the threads with a =
die.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>The slight give of the hard ball gives it a good =
feel.

<DIV><FONT size=2>I'm looking for just the right ball that is firm but =
has
enough give to protect the hand. I don't do much tuning but some =
have
complained of hand problems so this might help. I'll let you =
know if
