good points. I should have taken different warranties into effect =
before
speaking. I've gotten too used to working with folks like YC, =
Baldwin,
etc. In the past, I've found this to be caused, as best as we can =
tell, by
bushing felt that was not burnished when it was installed. =
Burnishing and
repinning does seem to be the only cure and it appears to be permanent =
as far as
we can tell. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

problems will put you between a rock and a hard place without your =
shirt

to send the
nursing home management -- they have the choice of paying for the =
entire job
to be done right, or of buying a whole new better-grade of =
piano. It's a
no-win situation, and I'd hate to see any technician get caught in the =
middle
of something like this as people try to get out of paying for the =
necessary work or for a better instrument.</FONT></DIV>

size=2>We've run into something similar on a couple of =
brands. As I'm
not sure who the manufacturer of the Sangler is, it's difficult to =
diagnose
more. However, contact the dealer and the manufacturer to see =
if this
can be covered under warranty. A systemic problem like this =
certainly
sounds like IMO, the proper remedy is to repin all of them with =
proper
technique. It's interesting that the wippen flange is the one =
freezing
and not the hammer flange as this is where I usually find this to =
show
up.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

nursing home. Among its many problems is that as time passes, the =
centers
start seizing up a few at a time. I mean they will be fine when I =
am there
tuning an a month later five whippen centers will be so tight you =
can
barely move the flange by hand! Protek won't touch it. I have to =
repin
them, check the rest of them. Everything is fine then I get a call =
a
couple months later and there are several new ones. Is glue =
leaching
through the bushings? Is there any solution besides repining the =
whole
action? They would hit the ceiling with that suggestion. Anyone =
else seen
this?</FONT></DIV>
