However a method of duplication = that I like involves making a template of the top of the block. .50" to .60 = aluminum sheet works great. Cut it out on the bandsaw and check it to fit against = the block flange on the plate. Then set it on the new block material and = mark it out. Oh! by the way be sure you have it turned correctly..... Check the = angle along the old block, set the band saw and cut the profile. I leave = material along the opposite side so I can work the block down as I fit the = flange. Cut the other side last. I use a belt sander in fitting the flange. I coat = the flange with graphite power in alcohol. Give the alcohol time to dry, = evaporate, and start pushing and tapping the block into the flange. The proud spots = will show, remove them with the belt sander front wheel.
