(It may be glued here, maybe not.) Just in the center of it, behind the= capstan impression. Then thread through a strip of centerpin bushing cloth,= and cut it off flush on the sides. A tiny drop of glue on the wood side of = the bushing cloth will make certain it won't work its way out (but probaby i= sn't necessary). You can do this without removing the wippens from the rail. This really wor= ks to lessen the noise and does not create a "mushy" feel.
