<HTML>Don't Mix Well, they do, but not with the result you want I am working on a S&S M, on which my predecessor had installed a new set of h/s/f. He also proceeded to spray the tops of the wippens with graphite. In the process, the hammer flanges got sprayed too. That resulted in many centers being too tight, 2 or 3 swings.  Before repinning, I though I would try a little Protec. The result was a very loose center, with about 12 -14 swings. Now I had to ream and repin. What a pain. Another good reason to use products judiciously. I have sprayed the tops of new wippens with graphite, but only after taping off the flanges, and the rest of the wippen. The only thing exposed is the top of the jack, and the wippen on either side of the jack. This guy sprayed the top 2" of the wippens. They were the original ones, too, not even new ones.
