About two years ago David was diagnosed with
incurable skin cancer. He kept this confidential
for over a year and a half. Recently he let it be
known of his condition.

When it was recommended by his Doctors to have
various amputations to prolong his life, he opted to,
In his words to me, "to live as long as I can,
as well as I can, with dignity".
Therefore he refused to have the amputations.

David was very active in our Chapter and served
on our board for several years. He was also an
outstanding instructor at Chapter, Regional and
National Conventions.

This year the Institute called upon him again to
instruct at the 2003 Convention, His words to them
was" I would realy love to, and I thank you for asking,
but in all probability I will not be here then.

When there was a need, David never had to be
asked to help. He was an outstanding Technician
and Rebuilder. He tutored many tecnicians who
came to his shop for help. No one was turned away.

I knew David,s Father Al since the 1950s and
did business with him, Both Farther and Son was
a class act and each were friends.

David is and will always be a positive force on his
Profession. David will always be with us because
of the magnificent legacy he leaves.

When asked to write this post.
I knew it would be extremely difficult.
------ It was.

A friend of Davids.
