made a slot and a screw driver backed it out without incident.
Whew.<br>
Perusing the hardware isle I decided on an inverted 5/16" tee-nut
fastener.<br>
The bracket fits snugly in the threaded portion so I'll cut some shallow
threads<br>
on the bracket and epoxy a sleeve of thin leather to size.<br><br>
I like this application as it is non-invasive on the belly rail. The
fastener<br>
will be affixed with #4 x 1/2' pan head screws.<br><br>
A 5/16" rod connector would work well too but a hole would have to
be drilled<br>
into the rail for mounting. If the tee-nut fails, this would be the
next option.<br><br>
