<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2> This piano is =
checked and
serviced every week as are all our major instruments. Over the =
past eleven
years it hasn't varied more than 3-4 cents as the room is kept at 72 =
degrees, 40
per cent all year 'round. The past seven weeks, however, there has =
been a
10-12 cent variation...one week a little flat, next some sharp. My =
instinct is that there is a defect in the HVAC system somewhere, but I'm =
told by
the maintenance folk that it has remained constant as usual. I =
have left
my hygrometer for 24 hour periods and, in fact, there is no major
variation. My problem is that the piano is 150 miles from where I =
live and
I can't take daily readings. Therefore, the question about a =
hygrometer
that would provide a digital read-out over a number of days. I =
KNOW this
piano. There's nothing wrong with the instrument as far as I can
tell. I also know the maintenance people and they're not =
"blowin'
smoke" at me. They're taking me seriously and are nice guys =
that I
talk to all the time. I just suspect that there is something =
happening
that they're not catching. </FONT></DIV>

problem...and
thanks for asking. I'm kind of perplexed and want to find the
solution.</FONT></DIV>
