<DIV>Encountered an old Wissner grand (7') the other day. It =
seemed to
be a very well made piano with great potential(though in need of a =
variety of
things, not least of which is a soundboard). It appears to mimic =
the
Mason and Hamlin design somewhat. Anybody know anything about =
these
pianos.</DIV>

<P dir=ltr><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#000080>Odd. The =
Wissner's I've
enountered have seemed much more Steinway clonish. Including the =
wonderful 54"
to 56" upright that was a much improved version of the Steinway upright. =
Had a
much better treble string termination system. Looked similar but had =
better
string deflection angles. It was also the only upright piano I've ever =
seen with
a fourth aliquot string ala Bluthner.</FONT></P>
