If it came from a Square Grand, it would be the Left Pivot for the =
Damper Rail.
Since you say this is from a Kranickly Bach, Hard saying, except that it =
is
definately a pivot for a Rail of some sort. On the piano, look for a =
large lag
bolt with a head that looks like a large eye. That's the best I can
