There should be a stop screwed into = the keybed directly above the pedal lift rod. Adjust the stop down until the = bicord dampers are just coming off the string. To adjust it really = “hot” the bottoms of the bicords do not have to clear the top of the string- = leave some of the wedge down between the strings. = <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p>= As you minimize = the lift off the strings you are also minimizing the dampers’ return = velocity, which will also minimize the thumping. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p>= BTW, if there is = no stop screw there, just put one in. A 1/4 X 1 inch hex bolt works great. Drill = a hole in the keybed and thread the bolt into it. He is doing some recording and it is very noticable to him.
