different machines, I learned to not, repeat NOT advise on upgrading to =
anything
freely, Windows or better said Microsoft Windows is a mistery to =
us all.

advise it for
companies is Windows 95 and NT. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have been installing 98, ME, 2000.. =
in all the
machines I assemble upon request. All of them are unpredictable. It =
seems to me
there is a lot to do with the Machine architecture. Some of them will =
have no
problems at all, and others will do. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Myself I bought Windows ME. I realy =
like its
features, I installed it in my late machine, which was a Pentium I =
233 wit
128 Mb memory and it kept collapsing. Simultaneously I installed it in =
my LapTop
a Compaq Presario 1200 wich uses a K6-2 500 plus 128 Ram Memory and it =
has not
failed once until today, My recently upgraded desktop is a PC partner
motherboard with K6-2 500 also and 128 MB memory, and after I installed =
win ME
it has some problems but not many. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>For customers I was asked to upgrade =
computers to
2000, I had some which would not take it, as I have many of the new ones =
which
are absolutely reliable and free of trouble. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Some machines, dependin their =
architecture will
take it, some will not. Most of the new Motherboards and parts which =
have been
designed with this Operating Systems in mind will work, and will give no =
problems at all. </FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>I use the ME upgrade... and it seems quite a bit more =
stable
then 98 ever did. Course with Windows... you never know what to =
expect. I
undestand there will be a new system out next year or so... NT, 2000 =
and
previous windows technology are supposed to merge into one thing. =
Might be
worth waiting for.
