<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><FONT SIZE=2>The paint was probably applied right over the varnish finish. This will make
<BR>removing the paint very easy. The varnish will also come right off, using
<BR>normal paint remover. If you can see some Mahogany underneath some of the
<BR>paint, that is what you'll wind up with. You can either spray lacquer over
<BR>the bare wood, or use tung oil for a nice semi gloss finish.
