size=4>Today
after 36 years tuning I tuned my first Grotrian-Steinweg. It was a =
model
110 in blond oak. It had an interesting bench with it ( I pay =
careful
attention to benches so I can incorporate good ideas into my own =
benches.
Instead of a lifting lid to get to storage it had an open shelf. =
Gave a
lot more room for storage and strengthened it at the same time. =
The piano
tuned very smoothly and the tone was very natural an unforced. The =
tuning
pins appeared to be smaller (maybe 1 (0) pins). A company here in =
the
early 60's sold them here for a while but I had never seen one =
live. This
one was bought in Germany with the owners who live here now. It =
was a very
pleasant experience. My hats off to the Germans on this
one.</FONT></EM></STRONG></DIV>
