In this case I would probably respond with something like..
<p>"Do you have a piano that needs tuning ?"
<p>They might respond with a simple "yes"
<p>To which I might reply, "and what makes you feel it needs tuning now
?"
<p>They perhaps might comment on some aural discomfort they are experiencing
when playing the instrument. To which an appropriate response might be
on the lines of
<p>"Did your mother neglect you when you were a child ?"
<p> I would continue thus until I had dug up enough information to
be able to ask any price I wanted.
