ever restored
and I have done three of them and several other brands. He =
designed the
first REAL square grand. After his square grand came out everyone =
else had
to make theirs with a cast iron plate and just as large. Before =
Mathushek
square pianos had mostly wooden frames (except for Chickering and =
some
others) and they were rather small. Mathushek built that LARGE =
square
piano that most of us run from. I have some definite things to say =
about
the quality of square grands on my website. No, I love them. =
I also
restore them but I don't like to do it. They are a royal pain in =
the
neck. I also have had new hammer butts made so I can replace the =
whole set
when I do one.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
