<HTML><HTML>List, This is a continuation of the thread last week concerning the George Winston= rider contract. He played here last evening and I thought (since this is ex= tremely fresh in mind) would share a few things: This a warm, caring, gentleman-void of extreme personal ego normally associa= ted with many who make their living on stage. He appears to be very detailed= in all aspects of his life and expects the same for those around him. I wou= ld also say that he is "obsessed" with his music. This is not something he c= an turn off or on....it's apart of him and it's obvious that the music a big= burning flame inside of him yearning to get out. From the insomanic-timed r= ehearsal (arrived at 1:15- left at 6:30AM) to a full 3 hr. performance-this = artist had energy to burn. Whether you like the style in which he played or not, it's hard not to sucke= d into sitting back and enjoying the whole event. Mind you he played to a cr= owd that generally was over 65 and over who couldn't care less about "New Ag= e" styled music. And at first there were some comments like ..." what the he= ck he is trying to play". But slowly the crowd also got into and became quit= e engrossed into the whole event. A few words about the rider: Don't get too worried about the wording of the rider. Give him a well regula= ted, voiced piano, with solid unisons and you'll be fine. Tom Servinsky</HTML>
