was not a joke. I've tried the way Ric describes, probably with =
much less
talent and patience, but as soon as I tried the other way, which I did =
not
invent of course (who am I etc.) I considered it immediately a much =
better

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>When the piano is upside down, the =
alcohol can soak
much quicker into where it does it's job : at the joint; and from above, =
it is
very easy to apply the exact minimal pressure that loosens the joint =
without
risking to damage the panel. And you don't need to wait two days : =
I got
my board neatly out in less than half an hour, so no need of rags =
protected in
aluminium leaves to avoid that most of the alcohol evaporates too =
quickly.
Just remember : no heat with alcohol. Ah, yes, I was talking about =
a grand
piano. Never tried to put an upright upside down.</FONT></DIV>
