They can easily get really bright, and that brightness does not work well in the mid treble which has a kind of nasal hollowness to it from the get go. I think the bass on Seilers is very nice indeed tho, and the high treble has a nice singing qualitly to it. Get a good set of hammers on these, and keep them voiced and they are pretty well performing instruments. Do these Seilers require alot of preparation as well? A 7 foot Seiler I once performed on was very nice compared to the 8 footer.
