I run into it occasionally on "average quality" minigrands from the =
first half
of the century: Hamilton, Harrison, etc. Have occasionally removed =
the
hammer flange rail and run it through the table saw to make clearance =
for the
regulating tool. Haven't seen it on a vertical, yet.</FONT></DIV>

was prepping a brand new Vivace piano, made in China by Sejung. =
I
regulated and aligned the capstans, and was about to regulate the =
let-off when
I noticed something strange: the jack-stop rail is directly =
above he
eyelets for the regulating buttons. There is NO room to get the
regulating tool in there. IN order to access the eyelets, I'll =
have to
bend the jack-stop rail a fair amount. What were they thinking:
that the let-off would be set for life? <BR><BR>Any =
ideas?
