I used to own a Yamaha U3MS. It had sostenuto and I assumed that the
"S" stood for that feature. It was a US market piano.<br>
<br>
Once, I rebuilt an 1881 Steinway upright that had sostenuto, a kind of
a crude arrangement that worked, but was noisy.<br>
