success: from the side of the wippen, push a thin rectangular =
X-Acto-knife
blade between the wip "cushion" and the wood. (It may be glued here, =
maybe
not.) Just in the center of it, behind the capstan impression. Then =
thread
through a strip of centerpin bushing cloth, and cut it off flush on =
the sides.
A tiny drop of glue on the wood side of the bushing cloth will make =
certain it
won't work its way out (but probaby isn't necessary).<BR><BR>You can =
do this
without removing the wippens from the rail. This really works to =
lessen the
