"Drag" is a function of friction. Sharp blade (like disposable
razor blade) will cut better than dull blade, no matter what the shape.
Unless..... it's a pinching action. Take a piece of your cloth to a
supplier of upholstery stuff. Ask to borrow a pair of their finest
upholstery shears. Give them a try and see what you think. At 10" or
more, you can get a pretty long "bite", and when sharp, those
puppies work very well. Just draw a line and use your calibrated
eyeball.
