(salvage
operation) with the square knuckles (major yucko). You need to hear =
from
someone else of knowledge on this, BUT I believe you will want to do a =
little
bit of basic action geometry anaysis here and simply determine what
flange/knuckle size/knuckle position setup is going to work best for =
you and
replace the hammers, shanks, knuckle, and flange with a modern setup =
of
correct geometry. Are the repetition levers modern? Or are they those
half-as#%& ones with the jack to the pianist end of the little =
repetition
stub (no repetition lever window for the jack to show through)? If you =
have
these goofy ones, can I assume you will be replacing these? Or is this =
not a
complete rebuild? The bottom line is that I am not sure it would work =
well if
you mate modern/normal knuckles to the old, cheap, goofy (I don't =
really know
this, but I think it is true) repetition setup I see frequently on =
small,
inferior-quality pianos of the early 20th Century.</DIV>

piano, and I'm in need of replacing the hammer butts. Yes, =
this is a
grand piano action with hammer butts, rather than hammer shank and
knuckle. The knuckle on these butts is square/rectangle, and =
consist
of action cloth and buckskin. Does anyone have a set or number =
of
them? Or does anyone know of where I can get some? I've =

Schaff and American, no such luck there. Any info would be
