<html><DIV> <P>Having frequently worked in the Weast Indies over the last 20 years I have seen many sets of hammers without staples/twisted wires simply come unglued from one or both sides of the hammer.  If the hammers are to be in a hot humid climate the wire helps keep the glue from being stressed to the point of release.
