It's no big deal, I was erring on the side of caution, as I have seen =

very strange things with the hitch pins over the years. If =
Baldwin
does not get back to you, contact me off list and I will look up the =
data for
you.<BR>Ideally you will need a compound bearing gauge. That's =
the one
with a bubble on it.<BR> You have to get the treble bridge =
strung, up to
pitch, and bearing set, before you even begin to start on the bass

Contact Baldwin for a copy of their stringing guide, that way you =
can
correctly set the baring. If it's unavailable, get an
experienced local tech to walk you through the process.<BR>
<DD>This vintage of piano had Sycrotone strings, the core wire was =
a few
sizes too small, and too close to the percentage break point, and =
was
prone to breakage. If you order the strings from =
Mappes, you
will get a set of modified strings that will work just =
fine.<BR><BR>
