In Eudora, I find that the easiest way to reply to the individual is

to push the "forward" button. This prepares a new post with the
post you <br>
are replying to shown with a line or row of carats beside it, and the
<br>
original addressing and date at the top of the subject space. <br>

I then select the email address of the sender, copy, and paste into the
<br>
"To:" line of the address, getting rid of
"pianotech.org" at the same <br>
time. <br>

Alternately, to be sure that you are writing the individual privately,
<br>
prepare a blank post by pasting the individual's address into
"To:", <br>
and paste and copy any of the post which you wish to quote. <br>
<br>
Not all that hard ... and prevents a lot of embarrassment, sometimes.
