<html> <body> Jean-Luc, This is a good puzzler - it's not clear from your post what it is, especially loosening the screws and re-tightening fixed it!  That's very odd - if in the process of loosening and tightening the screws you also worked the repetition levers a lot, then it could be springs needing more lube in the rep lever slots.  Protek MPL-1 cream is very good for rep springs. When you get this kind of thing, though, feel free to call Kawai tech support.  Andrew Thomas or Nick Gravagne are there just to help out - and if nothing else, to get information on the noise.  If the noise returns it would be a warranty problem that needs to be found for certain and eliminated. If you hear from the customer about the noise again, get the serial number and call (800) 421-2177 and ask to speak with piano tech support. (I'm not in tech support any longer, but if I'm in the office you are free to talk to me as well - I travel a lot, though).
