in on this one. As much as pin bending (against pin twisting) can seem =
to be an
efficient way of stabilizing your tunings, I think that you are putting =
undue
pressure on the tuning-pin bushing and the pin-block. I know that when =
tuning up
with very tight pins, the pin is going to twist before it turns in the =
block.
Now my way of seeing this is that YES, you should bring the pitch a =
little
further up, but then try untwisting the pin instead of bending it. In my =
book,
pin bending should be BANNED!</SPAN> <SPAN =

only thing bending does, is it crushes the pin-block. Now you start =
crushing
upward and then downward and pretty soon you've developped a VERY NASTY =
habit
