My graduate assistant bought me a Dover Publications reprint of White's
Theory and Practice of Piano Construction first published in 1906.
I'm very happy to have the book and wonder if anyone knows if Piano
Tuning and Allied Arts is also available in reprint. That is
another in the many books I wish I had but don't.

Also; in this book he writes about equal temperament and compares it
to Just intonation, and illustrates the differences. His chart of
frequencies for each note is quite strange with errors of from 0.0 Hz at
A-440 to -6.83 Hz at "F".
