as a highly developed combination of woodworking and sculpture, using either
sugar pine or mahogany for materials. I take it that this would be the
case for piano plates as well so things haven't changed much since Wolfenden's
time.</TT><TT></TT>
<P><TT>How does this translate to the prices you cited - designers' fees
added to pattern-makers' fees, plus testing the forms in sand, and would
it be possible to con Kelley or another foundry into letting someone do
this by themselves with some guidance just for 1-3 plates? Or does anyone
have any customers clamoring for small 19 note per octave grands?</TT><TT></TT>
