I have been contemplating to change over to Linux for at least five
years. Since I am not very bright, when it comes to computers,
nothing was done. Also I use programs that run on Windows
only. I bought the book "THE NO BS GUIDE TO RED HAT, LINUX
6" by Bob Rankin with a CD a year ago but haven't the nerve to
install it. In case if something goes wrong I wouldn't know what to
do.<br>
BTW ever since I use computer I always had Netscape to get on the
Internet and Eudora for E-mail. I wouldn't have it any other
way.<br>
Any safe input would be appreciated. <br>

That's why I'm running - you guest it - Linux - with Win4Lin (allowing me
to run a real copy of Windows within Linux - giving me the best of both
worlds).<br><br>
Also, running Mozilla (mozilla.org) - free version of Netscape and
OpenOffice (openoffice.org) - free version of MS Office comparable. Both
of which also run on Windows - since they are - free - you never have to
- buy - another version because of changing versions of
Windows.<br><br>

P.S. Since about 99% of the viruses are written for Windows - 8 years and
never been infected. So, for all you non-techies out there that are in
your comfort zone and in order to keep you and your system sane, you may
want to get off the railroaded train of MS and start learning something
else. I'll be glad to assist anyone who wants to give this a
try.<br><br>
