a Kawai MPA install a the new carbon action in a Shigeru piano at Bobb's pi=
anos in south Florida. I was impressed on many levels. First, Mi=
chio, (The tech's first name), was very nicely attired in shirt and tie and =
spoke English rather well. The ease at which he installed the new whip=
pens and backchecks was poetry in motion.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS"></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS">He altered the front weight on the keys by=
drilling out some of the lead mass of the weights being particular about ac=
tually weighing the key on a scale as he progressed. He explained to m=
e the different shape of the checks to facilitate better repetition and the =
lighter whippens. He finished off with a superb tuning and final voici=
ng and regulation. This process took the better part of a day and a ha=
lf.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I had fallen in love with this particular =
Shigeru SK2, (5'10"), when we first got it in. I could not imagine it =
sounding or responding better. But lo and behold,, it has risen even h=
igher in response and sound. It is one of those pianos that you play a=
nd just watch your hands do things you didn't think they could do. It =
is truly an inspiring instrument. Hats off to Don and the Kawai MPA st=
aff! As previously posted,, they are the Phd's of piano technology!</F=
