A church I work for is looking to sell their 1898 Steinway A, which needs rebuilding, so that they can get a piano they can use in their Sunday school room.

The Steinway needs a new board and new pinblock, new strings, dampers and damper action, new action and the ususal key work. It was refinished some time in the past. The color is walnut; the wood is mahogany. There are a couple of scratches which could be touched up. Otherwise it looks quite nice.

It has a scroll work music desk, and large round, fluted legs. The ivories are all in good shape except one tail, which has some cracks near where it touches the head. Some of the heads were reglued in the past and a faint black line shows.

I have photos if anyone is interested.
