The M-H 'G' is a great upright piano.
The tenor supplement ( hook bridge)
is like the round tail Steinway 'A' and
the A. B. Chase 'T' grands carries.
The 'G' carries
2-2 string wrapped unisons
3-3 " " "
2-3 " slick "
The last 'G' I had was ser. no. 18140
built in 1909. Of course it had the
auxiliary repetition spring on the jack.
To make a comparison I would say
that if one was restored well you would
have to PAY $15.000 to $18.000
for a new upright to just get close
to it in performance and let's not even
mention durability. This is not even close
to being one of the shiny disposable
pianos. Good luck and let us all know how
it turns out after rebuilding.
As far as the scale you will have to talk to
someone smarter than me. How about Del F.
Del? what say ye, Big Guy ?

Hope this helps,
