I'm suprised you don't know what = that is! It's a hammer shank/hammer square! It's used to "score" a line, (pencil) = on the side of a hammer. Usually when aligning the "samples" when hanging = hammers. Can also be used to check to see if the hammer is hung straight, (right = angles to the shank, etc.) </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I've got several of them. Baldwin made = several versions. The one you have is the first version, (as far as I know). = They used to hand them out in their classes on Hammer Hanging.
