1. Jack flange bushing too tight<BR>
2. Jack spring is broken, not tensioned enough, or not in the jack hole<BR>
3. Capstan screws turned too high (you need lost motion)<BR>
4. Butt spring tensioned too much (The hammer butt should return with help f=
rom the spring, but it should have a "floating feeling.")<BR>
5. Bridle wire set to far back (should loose slack when the hammer is half w=
ay to the strings).<BR>
