Hello Joe,

‘The piano you speak of was and can be again=
an
outstanding small grand. In rebuilding they are very
forgiving. =
;
Don't hold the belching of the promotional
department against this=
piano. They do not have a clue
of what the facts are and care less.

This is the scale “44=
or
scale “BB”. it may or may
not have patent&nb=
sp; numbers on the
plate. But the scale was
drawn by Frank Conover.
This Piano had 26 bass
12 singles and 14
doubles. And used the “Cable” action.

When Cable and Conover
merged the agreement
included that Conover would=
draw a scale for a small
grand with the Cable name on it.

It cannot be compared to a “Conover” becau=
se the smallest
“Conover” Piano was 5ft.8. Scale 77. O=
nly 3 or
4 5ft8s in
the world can , for that matter.</DIV=

In listening to Del and reading his articles I=
have come up
with the following words about good Pianos that I try not t=
o
forget
.
=

“ IT. S THE SCALE STUPID
”
&nb=
Joe, I am looking forward to working with you on
the tools&nbs=
