breaking strings and only human fingers are being used to strike the =
keys, then
the hammers are either voiced way too hard or are way to massive. Or =
both. Over
the years pianos have been pushed beyond their reasonable limits in a =
useless
attempt to fill larger and larger halls filled with larger and larger =
audiences.
It is unfair to blame the piano for the ignorance of the folks building =
these

unqualified to
judge the music being written and performed in this manner. It is not =
something
I enjoy personally, but that is probably due to my love affair with the =
pure
instrument, even as distorted as it has become of late. Still, as you =
say, it is
going to be done whether we technicians and/or builders like it or not =
so it
might as well be done with some kindness and consideration for the
