<p>I would follow Dampp-Chaser's recommendations when installing the components.
I see some rather strange variations from time to time. I figure,
if the company has done research on where to place the parts for greatest
effectiveness, why try to second-guess them?

I always install them as low as possible, clearing the pedal stuff, and
toward the front/kickboard. Dampp-chaser has pictures of installations,
schematics, etc., none are clipped under the keybed, probably for some
good reason (one being that lots of the heat would run out of the crack
above the kickboard and under the keybed, rather than disperse throughout
the piano more evenly).</font></font></font></blockquote>
