<HTML>Gentlefolk of= the list, I had a very interesting job yesterday.  It was well worth it, desp= ite a 100 mile drive to Pebble Beach. A store owner I contract for set me up to tune a Seiler piano purchased = by a woman who lives in Pebble Beach, right on 17 mile drive, looking out ov= er the Pacific Ocean.  Pretty spectacular little "cottage."  He ha= d told me that she was a piano eccentric, and she was the owner of two Fazio= lis(7 and 9 foot, not exactly sure of specific sizes), 2 Steinways(a D and a= B), and  Boesendorfer upright.  Apparently, she had a perfect spo= t for this Seiler 180(5'10").  Her piano inventory is worth considerabl= y more than most houses. Nothing spectacular to report.  I was hoping to be able to work on = all of the pianos, but she has someone specific who comes around to do the F= aziolis, and another gentleman for the Steinways.  I get to be the Seil= er guy, though, which is not a bad gig either.  I figure on 5-6 hour vi= sits on a 6-monthly basis.  Being right on the ocean, it's likely to ne= ed servicing quite frequently.  There is already a heater bar in it. As for the Faziolis, I got to play the 7 footer, which is unfortunately = all I had time for.  It was a brief encounter.  I cannot say that = it was the nicest piano I've ever played, but I can't say that it wasn't, ei= ther.  Sweet sound, and oodles of power in that thing.  The action= had some heft to it, but the feel was buttery.  Don't know how else to= describe it.  I'd like a few days to get used to it.  It was blan= keted and had objects on it, so looking inside was out of the question. &nbs= p;Next time...
