ts. I do have problems with checking on my piano that disappear when I swap =
out samples with Renner <SPAN class=SpellE>wips</SPAN>, though. Although t=
hey appear identical in the important aspects, I suspect that the <SPAN clas=
s=SpellE>Tokiwas</SPAN> are shortening the action spread just slightly, bu=
t I haven’t checked it yet. Can someone remind me of what the spec i=
s for S&S action spread?<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>

a big fan of helper springs & usually find other ways to handle the weig=
ht problems. I have found that one tool to have are the Abel parts for =
Mason/wessell, nickel & gross actions that are a perfect fit for many &a=
mp; they are the only ones who make an 18 mm nuckel placement. These parts w=
ill work well on those that originally had this configuration &=
; on some others depending on key leverage & action spread. Until now no=
other supplier has provided this dimension of part. Also I like the fact th=
at the center pin location is not moved out as per the Renner parts on there=
Steinway shanks.</FONT></DIV>

wa parts are a good fit except that the overall height is taller than origin=
al factory wippens which requires techs to lower the capstan perhaps further=
than the magic line calls for which, can also increase touch weight. On Ste=
inways I gave up & just use the factory wippens as they f=
it every piano they ever made really well. The Renoir whips tend to be too s=
hort & jack placement is really ideal for primarily there 17 mm knuckle =
execution. Just MHO based on trial & error.</FONT></DIV>
